The log cabin church in Jablanica is located about 25 kilometers from the center of Zlatibor. It was built in 1838 and is dedicated to the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
It was built of logs in a rectangular base, with a semicircular altar apse. The church has two doors, on the west and north sides, and very small windows. The width of the church is about 5.5 meters, and the length is about 9.5 meters, and it belongs to small wooden temples. The roof is extremely steep and covered with shingles. According to the construction method, woodworking and decorations, there is a similarity with the Dobroselec church, so it is believed that the same builders built them.
The interior space is divided by the iconostasis into the altar part and the nave. The Imperial Doors by the painter Sreten Protić Molerović were preserved from the old iconostasis, commissioned by local residents who contributed to the construction of the church. The throne icon of Jesus Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary with Jesus Christ and the icon of Saint Basil of Ostrog with Saint John the Baptist were painted in 1851 by Dimitrije Posniković. In 1958, Jaroslav Krtija made 23 icons with representations of holidays and placed them in two rows above the throne icons on the iconostasis with the help of priests and locals.
There is a wooden bell tower next to the church, and in the very gate of the church and around in the forest next to it, there are log houses - sobrašice (other names are tents, sobres and tables). These family tables in the church gate were used only occasionally - for meals after the liturgy and communion. The congregations in Jablanica were used only three times during the year, on the feasts of St. Peter's Day and the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. These buildings had either closed walls under a roof or just a covered table with benches. Food was served at the table, prepared by the housekeeper from the owner's house, necessarily fasting because after communion at the family table near the church, he fasted. All those who came to the service from other regions or, if they do not have their own table, were invited to the table to toast the happy communion to the family members. They were never used for shelter from the rain or for any other purpose than on the occasions mentioned.
Along with the log church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the sobrašice in Donja Jablanica, they are protected by law as cultural monuments of great importance.
