The monument on Šumatno brdo
On Glavudža or Šumatna Brdo, only 2.3 kilometers from the center of the tourist town of Zlatibor, there is a memorial obelisk and ossuary for partisan warriors shot at Kraljev vode and Palisade in 1941, as well as the remains of soldiers killed during the Second World War, who are from these areas. The memorial ossuary was built in 1961, while a 10-meter tall white stone obelisk was built above the ossuary in 1967 by architect Jovanka Jeftanović and sculptor Ana Bešlić. Vasko Popa's lines are written on the monument: "I do not give this sun in my eyes, I do not give this bread in the palm of my hand"
The path to the monument is decorated and illuminated, it is a favorite promenade of both tourists and Zlatibor residents, and from the top (at a height of 1072 meters) there is a wonderful view of the peaks of Čigota and the expanses of Zlatibor.
